CareerRAM Network FAQ What is CareerRAM Network?
The purpose of CareerRAM Network is to engage students, alumni, and friends in a mutually beneficial career relationship via an online system that is accessible around the world.
What is a Network Mentor?CareerRAM Network Mentors will provide invaluable information about careers, graduate studies, fellowship experiences, relocation information, community resources, and/or job shadow opportunities.
What is the time commitment?Network mentoring can take as much or little time and energy as you would like to devote to it. This program is mainly designed to provide quick, personal insights to students who are exploring career options. The "Student Contacts (per month)" field on the registration form allows you to set the maximum number of student contacts you will allow in a month and you may adjust this number at any time. Once your account receives the designated number of contacts, your information will not be visible to the students on the system for the remainder of the month.
Who will have access to my information?Your contact information will be accessible to CSU students who register with the CareerRAM database. This information will also be shared with the Alumni Relations Office, as this is a collaborative effort to engage alumni and friends with current students. If you have further questions, please contact Lucinda Van Inwagen, Lucinda.VanInwagen@colostate.edu, (970) 491-1955.
Additional Information:
The CareerRAM Network database is not intended to be a job search database. If your company/organization has job openings you would like to advertise, feel free to post these positions online through CareerRAM Employer. Please note, you will need to create a different profile as an employer because the employer and the mentor databases are separate entities.
Using this program for any purposes other than networking will result in the immediate termination of the user's access. Solicitation, direct marketing, business development, spamming database members, or asking for jobs is not permitted.
